Kensington Fluted Brass Bar Pull Handle in Satin Brass

Solid brass, finely fluted along its length, finished in soft satin — a bar pull with the discipline of London townhouse hardware.

Named for the residential district that gave English design so much of its restraint, the Kensington pull is drawn from a tradition of proportion and material rather than ornament. Each handle is machined from solid brass and finished in a soft satin that warms the metal without giving it any glare — a finish that reads considered rather than showy, and settles quietly against both painted and timber cabinet fronts.

The defining detail is the fluting — a run of fine, parallel channels drawn along the length of the bar. Beyond texture, the fluting introduces direction: a subtle line of shadow that guides the eye and gives the hand something to register when it reaches for the pull. Weight is substantial; installation is with two bolts through the cabinet door, into threaded posts at the handle back.

The bar is at home across a full run of kitchen cabinetry — long enough to read as architectural on wide drawer fronts, restrained enough not to compete with an in-frame Shaker door.

Works well in: a bone-white kitchen with unlacquered brass faucet hardware and a marble counter — or a study with panelled walls painted in a deep clay, a linen roman blind, and an oak desk. Especially good in fluted or ridged interior schemes.

Sizing: available in 128mm and 192mm centre-to-centre lengths — approx. 5in and 7.5in — with matching M4 bolts supplied. Overall length runs slightly longer than the fixing centres in each case.
