Personalised Cream Crackle Monogram Coat Hook in Antique Brass Finish

Cream ceramic, crackled by fire, mounted to warm brass — the smallest form of monogramming, and one of the most enduring.

Each letter tile is hand-formed and hand-painted in a small ceramic studio. The glaze is applied thickly, then fired to open a hairline crackle across the surface — a slow, unpredictable pattern that no two pieces share. Over time, the crackle darkens gently with use, giving each hook the softly aged quality of something rescued from an old French house.

The letter is painted in a soft, near-black tone before the second firing, and the tile is set onto a solid antique-brass hook. The brass has been finished by hand rather than lacquered, so it warms and mellows with age instead of staying flat. Screws and wall plugs are supplied.

Choose a single initial for a bedroom or study door, or arrange a whole word across a mudroom or entryway — a family name, a coastal town, a term of endearment that means something.

Works well in: a limewashed hallway with a rush runner and a wool overcoat on the hook — or beside a claw-foot tub with linen roman shades and a stack of striped towels. The palette is quiet: cream, chalk, oat, warm brass, aged oak.
