Champagne Crystal Glass Cabinet Knob with Satin Brass Base

Champagne glass, the colour of a dry sparkling wine held up to the light.

A crystal glass cabinet knob in a warm champagne tone, set on a solid brass base in a satin finish. The colour runs through the glass rather than sitting on the surface, so it deepens where the piece is thickest and lifts almost to clear at the edges. Five shapes in the collection, from a generous 45mm oval down to a compact 25mm square.

Each knob is cut and polished by hand. Small variations in the way light catches a facet are the material doing what glass does — not a flaw in the finish.

Choosing between the five

The two ovals are the statement pieces at 45mm across, and they suit wide drawer fronts and larger cupboard doors where a small knob would look lost. The Oval is smooth and domed; the Fluted Oval carries a scalloped edge that catches more light and reads as the more decorative of the two.

The Round at 36mm and the Octagon at 34mm are the everyday sizes — comfortable in the hand, right on standard base and wall units. The Octagon's flat facets give a crisper, more architectural line; the Round is softer and quieter.

The Square at 25.5mm is the smallest, and the one to use where a knob should be felt rather than seen — glazed cabinet doors, narrow drawers, a run of small bathroom units.

A kitchen can carry one shape throughout, or change between them: a common approach is the larger ovals on base drawers and the Square or Round on wall cupboards, keeping a single finish across both.

Dimensions

Projection is how far the knob stands off the door face. Overall height includes the 9 mm threaded neck. The brass rose measures 20 mm across on every shape.

Fitting

Every knob ships with its fixing screw — M4, 4 mm diameter, 28 mm long, with a countersunk cross head. That length suits doors and drawer fronts up to roughly 19 mm; for anything thicker a longer M4 machine screw from any ironmonger will do the job.

Drill a single 5 mm clearance hole, pass the screw through from the back, and tighten by hand until the rose sits flush. Do not overtighten — glass is unforgiving of a screwdriver taken one turn too far.

Care

A soft damp cloth, dried straight away. Avoid bleach sprays and citrus degreasers, which dull both the polish on the glass and the satin finish on the brass over time.
