A cube of hand-cut glass — faceted like a gemstone, weighted like a small paperweight, catching light the way a decanter stopper does at dusk.
Each knob is cast from clear lead-free crystal glass, then cold-cut on a stone wheel — a process traditionally used for decanter stoppers and small crystal ornaments. The facets are cut in a strict geometric pattern, and each surface is polished to a mirror finish, so light entering the cube refracts across every plane rather than passing through it.
Set into a solid brass mounting boss and threaded for a standard M4 screw (25mm supplied), the piece has genuine heft — the sort of weight you register the moment you take hold of it. The glass itself is untinted, which lets the cabinet colour behind it read through the piece, so a knob on a navy drawer looks navy, and one on cream looks cream. Clean with a dry lint-free cloth; no polish required.
Works well in: Art Deco dressing rooms, mid-century bar cabinets, glossy-lacquered kitchens where a hit of sparkle is wanted, and Manhattan-apartment bathrooms with marble everything. It's also a good foil to matte black cabinetry — the glass and the darkness set each other off.
Sizing: Approximately 25mm on each face (1"), with a 30mm projection (1.18"). Substantial in the hand for its footprint — the weight is part of the pleasure.
