Bloxwich Cabinet Knob

A smooth, rounded dome with concentric rings in its face — a bullseye that catches the light from across the room — on a short flared foot.

Bloxwich sits just outside Walsall, in the part of the Black Country that spent two centuries making locks, latches and cabinet furniture for the rest of the world. The knob carries the name of the town that made the pattern.

Choose your finish

Polished Brass — polished to a mirror and left bare. A living finish: it will warm and patina over time.

Aged Brass — an antique patina, so it arrives already dark. Still bare brass underneath, so it is a living finish: it will continue to darken and settle.

Satin Brass — brushed to a soft sheen and sealed under a clear lacquer. Lacquered: it will not change.

Will it change? Polished and Aged, yes. Satin, no — the lacquer holds it still.

Care

Polished and Aged: a soft, dry cloth, and a metal polish only if you want to hold the brightness. Satin: a soft cloth, and never abrasive cleaners — they break the lacquer down.
