Tuscany Umbrella Matte Glass Cabinet Knob in Shadows

A softly domed glass form in muted greys — cabinet hardware borrowed from the shadowed Tuscan afternoon.

The Tuscany knob is pressed from a solid piece of frosted glass and finished with a matte surface that diffuses light rather than reflecting it. The silhouette is umbrella-shaped — a shallow dome curving down to a slim collar, a form that sits comfortably in the palm and reads as sculpted rather than moulded. The palette runs across the shadow-tones of a plastered wall in late afternoon: dove, ash, smoke, cloud.

The frosted finish is what gives the knob its character. Where clear glass sparkles, this diffuses — the piece behaves more like a small stone than a jewel, holding the light quietly instead of throwing it back. The base is a threaded steel collar, bolted through the cabinet door with a single fixing.

Use it to soften the fronts of a marble-topped bathroom vanity, or line a run across the drawer fronts of a plaster-toned kitchen.

Works well in: a plaster-walled dressing room with an oval mirror, a linen wing chair, and a stack of art monographs — or a bathroom with a marble counter, unlacquered-brass faucet, and a slim wall shelf of glass jars. Especially good against soft-plaster, mushroom, and mineral-green walls.

Sizing: knob approx. 40mm diameter; total projection around 32mm. Standard M4 25mm bolt supplied — trim to suit thinner fronts.
