Grouping and hanging frames
A group reads better than a scatter. Keep 5–8cm between frames and align either the tops or the centres — not both, or the eye can't settle.
Mixed materials work as long as you hold one thing constant: all brass, or all the same mount colour. On a mantle, odd numbers sit more comfortably than even. And hang to eye level from the centre of the group, not the centre of the wall.
