Four solid brass cabinet knobs — Ball, Oval in 32 or 38mm, and Mushroom — and eleven backplates to sit behind them, all in polished brass under a clear protective lacquer. Designed in England. Choose a knob, choose a backplate, and put the pair together yourself — pick each piece and the photo changes to show it.

Priced per piece: knobs and backplates are sold separately. For a knob on a backplate, add one of each to your basket.

The knobs

Each supplied with a fixing bolt.

• Ball Knob 32mm — 32mm ball, 43mm projection, 15mm base
• Oval Knob 32mm — 32mm oval face, 27mm projection, 13mm stem
• Oval Knob 38mm — 38mm oval face, 40mm projection, 15mm stem
• Mushroom Knob 32mm — 32mm diameter, 32mm projection, 13mm stem

Projection is how far the knob stands off the door or drawer front.

The backplates

2mm thick, 4mm centre hole.

• Round — 45mm diameter
• Oval — 69 × 40mm
• Square — 50 × 50mm, with scooped corners
• Squircle — 60 × 60mm, a square with softly rounded sides
• Quatrefoil — 42 × 42mm, solid
• Pierced — 38 × 38mm, an open quatrefoil
• Fretwork — 45 × 45mm, an open square fret
• Flower — 51 × 51mm
• Star — 87 × 68mm
• Oblong — 54 × 25mm, rounded ends
• Rectangle — 60 × 25mm

The knob's bolt passes through the backplate's centre hole, so any knob fits any backplate.

The size drawings are in the photos. Sizes are measured on the piece — allow up to 1mm either way.

The finish

Polished Brass, lacquered — polished to a bright mirror shine, then sealed under a clear lacquer, so it stays bright and does not tarnish. Wipe with a soft dry cloth; please don't use metal polish or abrasive cleaners, which would strip the lacquer.

Made of

Solid brass throughout — not plated, not hollow. Hand-finished.

A fixing bolt is included with every knob; a backplate is held in place by its knob.
