Milano Signature Hand-Painted Ceramic Mortice Door Knobs — Brass

A little garden, painted by hand and set at the turn of your door — green, cream, and warm gold, no two exactly alike.

Each knob is decorated in the tradition of the Italian villages where this floral work was born — trailing leaves and blooms laid down brushstroke by brushstroke, so every piece carries the small irregularities of a human hand. The palette is soft and sunlit: sage and leaf green, cream ground, and touches of warm gold that catch the light. Mounted on a base of solid brass, the whole set glows rather than gleams, the metal deepening gently over time.

These are working knobs, not decoration. Turn one and the spindle drives the latch, so a door you pass a hundred times a day rewards you with a small moment of color and craft each time. The brass warms in the hand; the ceramic stays cool — a lovely, tactile contrast.

Works well in: paneled period doors in warm white, soft sage, or putty; cottage and farmhouse bedrooms; and dressing rooms or hallways where you want a hand-painted flourish against limewashed or clay-toned walls.

Sizing: Set of two turning knobs — one for each side of a single internal door — with an 8mm steel spindle, a full set of fixing screws, and a through-bolt mortice mechanism. A latch is not included — reuse your existing one, or source a standard 60mm or 70mm tubular mortice latch. Suitable for internal doors 35–45mm thick.
