Mughal Brass Textured Cabinet Knob

Solid brass cast with the ornamental grammar of Mughal metalwork — a small circular knob with the weight of proper foundry-work.
Each knob is cast from solid brass and finished by hand in a warm golden tone. The face carries a fine ornamental pattern drawn from Mughal-era Indian reference — a low-relief field of geometric and floral work caught in the metal itself rather than printed on top of it. Because the pattern is cast, it will not wear off at the fingertips; the piece is designed to be handled every day for decades.
The brass is finished by hand rather than lacquered, so the metal will mellow gently with use — the high points around the pattern polishing naturally under the touch of fingers, the recesses holding their darker patina. The base is a threaded steel bolt through a solid brass collar, fitted with a single drill point through the cabinet door.
Fit one to a small standalone piece, or run a set across the fronts of a fitted wardrobe, a dresser, or a run of kitchen drawers.
Works well in: a jewel-toned dressing room with a velvet slipper chair, an oval mirror, and a beaded chandelier — or a study with a leather-topped desk, a green-shaded lamp, and a bookcase of hardbacks. Especially good against inky-blue, oxblood, and deep-green paints.
Sizing: knob approx. 35mm diameter; total projection around 30mm. Standard M4 25mm bolt supplied — trim to suit thinner cabinet fronts.
