Divertido Hand-Painted Ceramic Cabinet Knob in Minimalist Tones

A hand-painted ceramic dome finished in soft neutrals — white on grey, grey on white — the pattern applied by brush, no two pieces quite the same.

Each Divertido knob is thrown and glazed by hand, then painted individually by ceramic artisans working from a small library of pattern motifs. The palette is deliberately restrained — chalky whites, pale greys, warm off-whites — so the piece brings texture to a cabinet front without competing with the room. The finishing glaze is fired at high temperature to lock in both colour and pattern.

The body is high-fired stoneware, threaded through a solid brass mounting insert that accepts a standard M4 screw (25mm supplied). Because each piece is painted by hand, expect small variations in brushstroke, tone, and pattern density — the mark of a made object rather than a printed one. The glaze is durable and wipes clean with a damp cloth.

Works well in: Scandinavian-leaning kitchens with pale timber cabinetry, minimalist bathrooms with concrete floors, Japandi bedrooms where texture is chosen carefully, and quiet home offices with painted joinery. It also reads beautifully on a piece of vintage furniture painted a modern chalk — a small update that respects the age of the original.

Sizing: Approximately 38mm diameter (1.50") with a 30mm projection (1.18"). Comfortable in the hand and substantial without being heavy.
