A plain solid brass butt hinge for cupboard and cabinet doors, recessed into the door edge and the frame so that only the knuckle shows. This is the part nobody notices — until it is a cheap one.
Solid brass screws are supplied — the same metal as the hinge, countersunk and slotted, so the heads settle into the finish and age with it rather than standing apart.
Sold singly. Most cupboard doors take two.
Polished Brass, Unlacquered
Polished to a smooth, mirrored finish and left bare. This is a living finish: with no lacquer between the brass and the air, it will slowly warm and deepen, taking on a patina that belongs to your home and no one else's.
