With his fluffy beard, towering hat, and secretive little smirk (probably hidden under all that wax), this Norwegian Gnome is more than just a pretty face. Each candle is individually hand-finished, with delicate surface textures, brushed glitter accents, and sculpted folds that give every gnome its own expression and character. Sculpted in wax and beautifully hand-finished from top to toe, he's ready to stand guard wherever he’s needed — whether that’s among the flower pots, beside the biscuits, or right in the centre of your Christmas table. Available in a choice of three iconic styles — bold red, snowy white, or sparkling silver — each gnome has a distinct personality. Red is lively and a bit cheeky. White is calm and quietly curious. Silver? Well, Silver thinks he’s the sophisticated one. Together, they’re the start of a very well-behaved (or not-so-well-behaved) gnome team. Each figure is designed to be safely burned, releasing a soft glow as the flame flickers down through the hat. Ideal for seasonal displays, festive table settings, garden party centrepieces, or just brightening up a hallway shelf — these candles bring joy year-round. They also make delightful gifts, party favours, or collectables to come back for again and again.

Disclaimer: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable objects.

Do you know? Where the Gnomes Come From...

Gnomes have wandered through northern forests and folk tales for centuries. Their earliest roots lie in Scandinavian and Germanic folklore, where they were known as Nisse (Norway/Denmark), Tomte (Sweden), or Kobold (Germany). These were small, bearded creatures with tall hats — believed to be guardians of the home, farm, and land. Living quietly in barns, tree roots, or forest dens, they worked at night, protected animals, and helped with chores — but only if treated with respect. A bowl of porridge left out during winter, especially on Christmas Eve, was their traditional reward. If forgotten, they were known to get a little mischievous. The word “gnome” became more widely used in the 16th century, popularised by Renaissance thinkers who described gnomes as earth elementals — mysterious, magical beings connected to the soil and natural world. By the 19th and 20th centuries, gnomes became decorative, evolving into the iconic garden gnomes we know today, especially in Europe. Still wearing their tall hats and beards, they are now symbols of good luck, protection, and quiet mischief — whether guarding a flower bed or sitting cheerfully on a festive table.
