The Virelle collection is where art and conscience meet, a celebration of glassmaking at its most human and most meaningful. Every piece is first-handblown into shape by skilled artists, the molten recycled glass expanding into a form that feels at once classic and elegant. Once cooled, each surface is entrusted to steady hands and sharp tools, where every engraved line is cut individually by hand, giving the glassware a rhythm and texture. The result is not only an object of beauty but a piece that carries the quiet weight of human touch. The Decanter stands tall in elegant proportion, crowned with a solid, rounded stopper that settles into place with reassuring grace. The Tumblers, offered as a set of four, echo the same engraved rhythm in a size balanced perfectly for the hand. Together, they form a conversation between form and function, their classic silhouettes recalling the elegance of heritage glassware while feeling entirely relevant today. But what sets Virelle apart is not only its artistry, it is its conscience. Every glass is born from recycled material—glass gathered, melted down, and given a new life. Nothing new is taken from the earth; instead, what already exists is transformed into something enduring. In choosing Virelle, it's simply choosing glassware as a way of living that believes luxury can be gentle, that beauty can be responsible, and that the decisions we make at our tables matter to the world we pass on. This is glassware for those who care not only for how life looks today but for how the planet will look tomorrow. Each glass tells its own small story of touch, time, and transformation. This is what makes Virelle rare: the luxury lies not only in its appearance, but in its values—classic form, artistic craft, and a quiet commitment to protecting the planet for future generations. Care remains simple. Though dishwasher safe, these are pieces that deserve gentleness—best placed on the top rack. Virelle is not just glassware. It is a statement, a choice, and a gesture: proof that true beauty is never at the expense of the earth, but in harmony with it.

Shaped by Fire, Guided by Hand – The Virelle Way

Each piece in the Virelle collection begins its journey with a quiet act of transformation. Rather than sourcing new material, the process begins with carefully selected fragments of existing glass — remnants with hidden potential. These are sorted and cleansed with precision, then made ready for their next life. It's a mindful approach to creation: one that reduces impact, honours natural resources, and speaks to a deeper sense of responsibility for the future. Once melted at temperatures exceeding 1,500°C (2,732°F), the glass becomes fluid — alive in the hands of those who shape it. Guided by breath and movement, each form is created using traditional handblown techniques. No part of the process is rushed. Instead, each shape emerges slowly, crafted through skill and instinct, with elegance and proportion found through experience, not machinery.
Before cooling, while the surface is still responsive, each piece is gently engraved with fine vertical lines. These are applied by hand, not with mass tools or pre-sets, but with focus and touch — a rhythm carved line by line using time-honoured techniques. Though each item in the Virelle family holds the same consistent shape, every piece reflects a trace of its maker — a nearly invisible signature of hand and time, etched into glass.
