A small piece with quiet presence — smooth glazed ceramic set into a polished metal frame, sized for the hand and made to be lived with.
Each knob is turned and glazed by hand in a small ceramics workshop — the body wheel-formed, then finished in a slow-fire kiln that gives the surface its characteristic depth. Once cooled, the ceramic is set into a machined metal collar and buffed by hand, so the seam between the two materials sits flush and considered.
The dome itself is high-fired stoneware finished in a range of soft, saturated colours — sea greens, dusty roses, ink-navy — each glaze mixed in-house so the tone reads honestly under both morning light and lamplight. The polished metal collar is turned from solid brass, warm-tone plated, and threaded to accept a standard M4 mounting screw (25mm supplied) for straightforward installation on drawers, wardrobes, and kitchen cabinet fronts.
Works well in: Softly painted Shaker kitchens where a spot of colour is welcome — a mint knob against a putty cabinet, a wine-red one on natural oak. It suits English country interiors, considered nurseries, dressing rooms, and the sort of casual eat-in kitchens that lean vintage without committing to the era.
Sizing: Approximately 32mm diameter (1.25") with a 30mm projection (1.2"). Weight is modest — the piece reads substantial in the hand without dragging on lightweight cabinet fronts.
