It rests on a base of bright polished chrome, and the two together read as calm and quietly modern, the sort of pairing that flatters both a Victorian panel door and a simple contemporary slab.

These are working knobs, made to be used. Turn one and the spindle drives the latch, so the door opens with the reassuring, weighted action you expect from a proper mortice set. The ceramic stays cool in the hand and wears beautifully — a finish that only looks better as a house is lived in.

Works well in: period doors painted in soft gray or greige, cottage and farmhouse bedrooms, and boot rooms or hallways where you want pale ceramic to soften the shine of chrome against plaster and painted board.

Sizing: Each set includes two turning ceramic knobs — one for each side of a single internal door — an 8mm steel spindle, and a full set of fixing screws. Fixing is through-bolt for a secure, rattle-free feel, and the knobs work with any standard 8mm spindle-operated latch. A latch is not included — reuse your existing tubular mortice latch, or source a 60mm or 70mm one separately. Suitable for internal doors 35–45mm thick. This is a functional turning set, not a dummy set.
