A polka-dot mug with a secret at the bottom — a little cat waiting to be found once you've reached the last sip.
Each mug is handmade and hand-painted, the dots brushed on one at a time so no two land quite the same. Modeled into the base is a 3D kitty that peeks up as your tea disappears — choose black, white, or ginger, each with its own small personality. It's the kind of everyday object that earns a smile before the coffee even kicks in.
Practical, too: heatproof and safe for both the microwave and the dishwasher, so it's built for daily use rather than the back of the cupboard.
Works well in: a morning coffee ritual by the kitchen window; a considered open shelf of mixed ceramics; a gift for the cat lover who has everything.
Sizing: A handmade ceramic mug; heatproof, microwave safe, and dishwasher safe.

A mug is one of the few things you'll hold every day — so it should feel right. For ideas on putting together a table that reads as considered, see our pieces on the kitchen at first light and a spring table, set quietly.
