A second metal, laid over the brass.

Plating puts a hard, stable barrier between the brass and the world. It will not patina, will not tarnish, and does not care what the kitchen throws at it — the hardest-wearing of our three classes.

Polished Chrome is cool-toned where brass is warm. The right choice for a bathroom, a modern kitchen, or anywhere brass would read too warm.
