Victorian Cabinet Knob

A smooth, plain dome standing on a stepped, concentrically ringed foot. The detail is all in the plinth — turned steps that catch the light and lift the knob proud of the door.

Choose your finish

Polished Brass — polished to a mirror and left bare. A living finish: it will warm and patina over time.

Aged Brass — an antique patina, so it arrives already dark. Still bare brass underneath, so it is a living finish: it will continue to darken and settle.

Satin Brass — brushed to a soft sheen and sealed under a clear lacquer. Lacquered: it will not change.

Will it change? Polished and Aged, yes. Satin, no — the lacquer holds it still.

Care

Polished and Aged: a soft, dry cloth, and a metal polish only if you want to hold the brightness. Satin: a soft cloth, and never abrasive cleaners — they break the lacquer down.
