A plain solid brass butt hinge for cupboard and cabinet doors, recessed into the door edge and the frame so that only the knuckle shows. This is the part nobody notices — until it is a cheap one.
Solid brass screws are supplied. Most hinges at this price arrive with steel screws: they rust, and a bright steel head in a brass hinge undoes the whole thing. Ours are brass, countersunk and slotted, and they cost us more.
Sold singly. Most cupboard doors take two.
Satin Brass, Lacquered
Brushed to an even satin sheen, then sealed under a clear lacquer. The soft look of satin brass, held still. Fingerprints wipe off; the finish does not move.
Will it change? No. The lacquer seals the brass from the air. This finish is frozen the day it is made. (Lacquered finish)
